Hello!
I’m McCory James (yes, my first name is McCory 😁).
I fell in love with travel photography when I started traveling to Europe for my job in 1999. Since then, my camera has taken me across all 50 U.S. states and to more than 30 countries, from bustling city streets in Hong Kong to remote villages in Kenya. Whether I am photographing the quiet dignity of a stranger, the grandeur of ancient architecture, or the awe-inspiring beauty of nature, my work is driven by a deep desire to reflect the wonder of the world God created.
I started my career as a full-time professional photographer in 2002. In my studio I blend travel photography and fine art projects with wedding and event photography. I have been a guest lecturer for many organizations from the Colorado Art Institute to the Denver Art Museum and have also taught at the college level. I have also had my work exhibited in galleries and businesses around the world (the most surprising one was a show in the government buildings of Santiago, Chile!)
